Excursions and trekking in Deià, Mallorca
During your stay among us, S’Hotel D’es Puig can be your starting point to undertake many hiking or biking trips to discover one of the most beautiful places of Mallorca. Among others, we recommend:
Spectacular descent to Na Foradada peninsula with its peculiar hole and surrounded by the Mediterranean sea wonders. The road was constructed at the request of Archduke Luigi Salvator between 1877 and 1844. Enjoy the magnificent terrace which belongs to the restaurant.
The starting and finishing point of your visit, the Son Marroig country house, owned by the Archduke in the past can be visited from Monday to Saturday.
This is the old road between Deia and Soller which connected the ancient country houses. It offers spectacular views of Soller and the coast. During your trip, you will follow a stoned road with a high heritage value and which was restored in 1989.
Finally, you can finish your excursion visiting the Soller's botanical museum.
Cala Deia and surroundings
A lovely walk across the village, enjoying its steep streets and the view of the mountains, will take you to Cala Deia. There you will breath the Mediterranean scent, the small fishermen's houses and their boats.
Enjoy a superb meal by the sea.
Road of the Archduke and the Teix Mountain
Archduke Luigi Salvator was captivated by Mallorca. He spent long periods walking around and enjoying the surrounding mountains.
One of the most spectacular routes is the one that follows the road built at the instigation of the Archduke with the purpose of enjoying the Tramontana Mountains, which offers splendid views of the north coast and the neighbouring summits.
